October in Polanica-Zdrój has a rhythm of its own. As the park avenues turn golden, the Festival of Maria Czubaszek and Wojtek Karolak, known as “Cały Kazio”, returns to the spa town. Its 13th edition will take place from 9 to 11 October 2026, with the main events held at Teatr Zdrojowy, the Spa Theatre located directly opposite Hotel Bukowy Park.
The festival was created by Hirek Wrona, a respected music journalist and broadcaster who remains its driving force. “Cały Kazio” is dedicated to the work and distinctive personalities of Maria Czubaszek and Wojtek Karolak.
The event does not fit neatly into a single category. It is neither a conventional comedy showcase nor a traditional music festival. Instead, it brings together intelligent humour, literature, conversations with artists, film and music spanning different genres and generations.
The programme of the 13th edition includes:
comedy and a recital featuring Kabaret Hrabi, Andrzej Grabowski and Piotr Krakowski;
literary meetings, film screenings and conversations with artists, including Professor Jerzy Bralczyk, Katarzyna Bareja and Tomasz Lipiński;
concerts and musical events featuring Izabela Trojanowska, Aga Zaryan, Patrick The Pan and Spięty.
The main festival venue remains Teatr Zdrojowy im. Mieczysławy Ćwiklińskiej. Selected meetings and accompanying events will also take place at Villa Polanica.
The festival will open with an event entitled “CI-FACE-CI”. The first part of the evening at Teatr Zdrojowy will feature Kabaret Hrabi, followed by a joint recital by Andrzej Grabowski and Piotr Krakowski.
The Friday programme will continue at Villa Polanica, where Rafał Bryndal will welcome guests to the Festival Club.
Saturday will bring the most extensive programme of the entire weekend. Villa Polanica will host the Festival Scrabble Tournament, followed by meetings organised as part of Klub Książki Rozumnej, the festival’s book club.
Katarzyna Bareja will join Hirek Wrona for a conversation, while Tomasz Lipiński will meet Piotr Stelmach. The programme will also include a screening of “Znany, nieznany Karolak”, followed by a discussion with Igor Mertyn and Sławomir Kalwinek.
In the evening, the audience will move to Teatr Zdrojowy for the Festival Gala. The event will be hosted by Tomasz Sianecki and Wojciech Zimiński, with performances by Izabela Trojanowska, Aga Zaryan, Tomasz Lipiński and Patrick The Pan.
Saturday will conclude with Winylowe After Party – Classic Jazz, hosted by Hirek Wrona at Villa Polanica.
The final day of the festival will begin with a literary meeting featuring Professor Jerzy Bralczyk and Sofia Lebedeva of the ax.polski publishing house. The conversation will be hosted by Przemek Rozenek.
A concert by Spięty at Teatr Zdrojowy will bring the 13th edition of “Cały Kazio” to a close.

“Cały Kazio” can become the central theme of an October stay in Polanica-Zdrój. The morning can begin with a leisurely breakfast and a walk through the Spa Park. The rest of the day can be devoted to meetings at Villa Polanica, followed by an evening concert, recital or gala at Teatr Zdrojowy.
